What's Inertia?

Inertia. The force that sets balls rolling, trains moving, planets spinning, and the world existing. But inertia is not merely about starting movement. It is about moving, constantly and consistently, no matter what.

And that is precisely what we try to achieve here at inertia. We want to bring constant change in the LGBTQ+ experience, consistently. We want queer teens to be heard, and to have a space to express themselves.

To increase LGBTQ+ representation in the arts is one of Inertia’s major goals. The world has very little access to media that accurately portray this community, not to mention the fact that the proportion of LGBTQ+ artists to non-LGBTQ+ ones is almost negligible, and that just won’t do.

Encouraging and providing avenues for art, whether it be music, film, writing, or something else entirely, will always be a core principle Inertia will stick to.

We may be a minority in the population, we might struggle, and we might undergo strife just because we live and love differently, but we shall prevail. We shall achieve. Our voices will be heard. 

Change is Inertial, after all.
